Carrie Underwood is recovering after a nasty fall outside of her Nashville home just a few days after hosting the CMA Awards. The country star suffered “multiple injuries” but is expected to fully recover.

Underwood was taken to a nearby hospital on Friday where she was treated for cuts and abrasions, as well as a broken wrist, after tumbling down the steps outside of her home. Her husband, former NHL hockey player, Mike Fisher, traveled all night to get to Nashville so that he could be by her side.

Her rep explained, “her recovery will take some time and she appreciates all prayers and well wishes,” while Underwood, herself, took to Twitter to say, “Thanks so much for all the well wishes everybody…I’ll be alright…might just take some time. Glad I’ve got the best hubby in the world to take care of me.”

Unfortunately, fans were disappointed to learn that her performance at Sunday night’s Country Rising benefit show, which included big names such as Jason Aldean, Sam Hunt, Dierks Bentley, Chris Stapleton, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire and Keith Urban, had to be cancelled.

Let’s hope Underwood has a speedy recovery. In addition to her touring schedule, she also spends her days running after their little boy, Isaiah.
